ART STATEMENT

I see my compositions as movie stills telling a story in one “snap-shot”. I am drawn to subjects asking for more than a casual glance. When I start drawing it’s as if my unconscious is coaxing my pencil along and it’s there my characters reveal their attitudes. I am a fan of gallows humor and find it provides me a safe distance from my fears; that way I get to go deep where the interesting stuff lives.
